What comes out, and the checks that run before it does
Real files from a sample book written by hand for this site. No model was asked for any of them: the typesetting, the checks and the pictures are PenWriter’s own code.
Some of the files

A cover mockup
The cover as a standing book. The title, subtitle and name are set by PenWriter's typesetter, never drawn by a picture model.

A paperback page
A chapter opening laid out at a KDP trim size, with the inside margin your page count needs and running heads.

The wrap-around cover
Back, spine and front in one PDF, sized for the page count. The back carries the description from the listing.

A quote card
A sentence taken word for word from a chapter, drawn from the book's cover and colours. PenWriter makes the file; it posts nothing.
Also made, and not shown here: the Kindle EPUB (run through a validator) and a Word file. Together they are what you upload to KDP yourself.
Check a listing against Amazon’s rules
A few of the 713 rules in PenWriter’s rulebook, running live on a sample listing. Change anything, or break it on purpose. The limits were read from Amazon’s pages on 15 October 2026, and the rule behind each row is a link away.

Passing means a listing meets what Amazon has published. Amazon decides after you upload, and can find a problem no published rule mentions. Amazon changes its rules; the page is the authority, not this one.
